SELANDIA commenced operations in June 1995, providing Crew Management / Recruitment services for a fleet of 22 vessels comprising of Crude / Product Tankers, OBO Carriers, Bulk Carriers, Container, General Cargo and Multipurpose vessels. Over the past 10 years the fleet has grown to a strength of over 130 vessels (Full / Part Manned) with VLCC's, Chemical Tankers, Gas Carriers (LPG / LNG) and Cable Vessels added to the fleet profile and the Seafarer pool to about 1800.

SELANDIA's top and middle management consists of seafarers with extensive sea-going experience on Oil Tankers / Dry - Bulk vessels and shore experience in crewing, technical and commercial activities. We treat our seafarers as our primary asset and have built up dedicated pools of well trained and committed seafarers for our Clients through policies that encourage long term employment; provide career enhancement opportunities; build personal relationships with the seafarers and their families and enhance competence through training.

The Company obtained dual certification under ISO 9002 / CMO rules from DNV in March 1997. Re-Certification to ISO 9001 : 2000 / CMO - June 2003. The Company's systems and procedures ensure that a high standard is maintained in the provision of our services and that Client requirements are complied with.

The Company operates an in-house training facility in Mumbai, SEATRAIN, which conducts various shore based courses and an On Board Training program. Certifed as a MTC by DNV.

All Crew Management / Recruitment and associated services are controlled at SELANDIA's Head Office in Mumbai. Branch Offices in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata. Branch Offices provide recruitment and associated services under the guidance of the Head Office. The wide network of offices provides better access to the seafarers along with the convenience for the seafarers of reporting at these locations for rejoining / assistance. The Company provides guest houses for use of outstation Officers in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh and Chennai.
